The 49 day challenge was extremely rewarding for me. I had already been attending boot camp for a year and a half, but never changed my eating habits nor did I work out outside of boot camps. When I started the challenge I cut out all the crappy food and alcohol and began eating whole foods and protein shakes. I worked out every single day. I was really tired and tempted to eat the first couple weeks but then I began getting huge bursts of energy. I could get up at 5:30 every morning, and that used to be a problem for me. I began feeling stronger and pushing myself during my workouts. I started to see definition in my body and my weight drop. This motivated me more and more. I started to crave and want food that was good for me and eating became easier. Talking to people in boot camp about food also helped me. Most of them were struggling with the same things I was and had really good ideas and recipes, it was nice to relate to other people going through the same thing. The nutrition meetings were helpful and informative. I now know that weight loss is about 80% nutrition. One day I will get to the point of breaking down foods, but for now what works for me is just being aware of what I put in my body and being sensible.I am really glad that I did the challenge and plan to continue to work out daily and eat right!
